Born in 1994, Destiny Oyibode is an artist known for his versatility, encompassing both small and large-scale paintings within his repertoire. This flexibility allows him to explore a wide spectrum of artistic expressions and engage with different facets of his creative vision.

Destiny’s pursuit of artistic excellence led him to Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State, Nigeria, where he embarked on formal art education and ultimately earned a national certificate. During his apprenticeship, he dedicated himself to honing his skills, focusing particularly on perspective drawing and refining a distinctive stroke pattern that would come to define his unique artistic voice. This phase of his journey underscored his unwavering commitment to the world of art and marked the beginning of his artistic evolution.

However, Destiny’s path was not without its challenges. A debilitating illness that incapacitated him for an entire year threatened to derail his artistic aspirations, robbing him of his sense of touch, scent, and memory. It was during this trying period that Destiny found solace and purpose in art, using it as a lifeline to a world that felt distant and inaccessible. As he gradually regained his health, his determination to pursue art only grew stronger, leading him back to Auchi Polytechnic in 2018, where he achieved a Higher National Diploma in painting.
Following his formal education, Destiny answered a higher calling by sharing his passion and expertise as a teacher of visual arts in secondary schools. This role allowed him to impart his knowledge and enthusiasm to the next generation of budding artists, leaving an indelible mark on the future of the art world. As a studio-based visual artist, he is widely recognized for his compelling work, often employing acrylic paint and graphite to infuse his pieces with emotive depth and narrative richness.
